A Sales Assistant Told My Wife She Wasn’t ‘Pretty Enough’ to Work in Their Store — I Returned a Few Days Later for the Perfect Revenge

When a store assistant reduced my wife to tears by insulting her appearance, I knew I had to act. Emma, my wife, is passionate about fashion, and her wardrobe reflects her impeccable taste. Recently, she decided to turn this passion into a career in retail.

One day, excited by a “Now Hiring” sign at a lingerie store, she went in to inquire about the job. The sales assistant, however, cruelly dismissed her, saying, “I don’t think you’re pretty enough for this job. NO CHANCE. Don’t even try, okay?” Emma was devastated.

Seeing her in tears broke my heart, and I decided to teach that assistant a lesson. I contacted my friend Mike, who works in the fashion industry, and we devised a plan. A few days later, I returned to the store, pretending to shop for my wife. The assistant, eager for a sale, became very attentive.

Mike then entered, introducing himself as a talent scout looking for fresh faces. The assistant, thinking this was her big break, was crushed when Mike rejected her. He then turned to me and said, “You have an interesting look. Have you ever considered modeling?” The assistant was shocked when I replied, “No, but my wife, Emma, would be perfect.”

We set up an interview for Emma, giving her a confidence boost even though she didn’t pursue modeling. The experience showed her true worth. As we walked past the store later, Emma, with newfound confidence, declined to go inside, saying she’d had enough of that place.

Sometimes, the best revenge is lifting up the ones you love and helping them see their true worth. No one has the right to make them feel less than they are.
